Beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin zaman perspektifleri ile karar verme stilleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı; beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin zaman perspektifleri ile karar verme stilleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Araştırmada ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini Batı Karadeniz illerinde görev yapan beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Örneklemi ise bu evren içerisinden kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 306 (172 erkek 134 kadın) beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri "Zimbardo Zaman Perspektifi Envanteri", Melbourne Karar Verme Ölçeği ve "Kişisel Bilgi Formu" kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Veriler, tek yönlü MANOVA ve Pearson korelasyon analizleri kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre; öğretmenlerin zaman perspektifleri ortalama puanları ile yaş ve hizmet yılları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir (p<.05). Cinsiyete göre gelecek zaman alt boyutu, medeni duruma göre şimdi hazcı, yaşanılan yere göre geçmiş olumsuz ve olumlu, eğitim durumuna göre şimdi hazcı, hizmet verilen eğitim kademesi değişkenine göre geçmiş olumsuz, lisanslı spor yapma durumuna göre şimdi kaderci ve hazcı, okul türü değişkenine göre ise şimdi hazcı alt boyutlarının ortalama puanlarının anlamlı farklılaştığı ortaya çıkmıştır (p<.01). Karar verme puanları ile yaş ve hizmet yılı arasında ise anlamlı ilişkiler olmadığı tespit edilmiştir (p>.05). Cinsiyet, medeni durum, eğitim durumu, hizmet verilen eğitim kademesi, lisanslı spor yapma durumu, okul türü ortalama puanlarının anlamlı farklılık göstermediği tespit edilmiştir (p>.01). Ek olarak karar verme stiller ortalama puanlarının görev yeri değişkenine göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği ortaya çıkmıştır (p<.01). Araştırmanın ana problemi ile ilgili analiz sonuçları incelendiğinde zaman perspektifi envanteri geçmiş olumsuz, geçmiş olumlu, şimdi kaderci ve gelecek zaman alt boyutları ile karar verme stillerinin tüm alt boyutları arasında anlamlı derecede ilişkiler tespit edilmiştir (p<.05). Şimdi hazcı alt boyutu ile ise dikkatli karar verme ve panik karar verme arasında anlamlı derecede ilişki tespit edilmiştir (p<.05). Sonuç olarak beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin zaman perspektifleri ile karar verme stillerinin alt boyutları arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı düzeyde ilişkiler tespit edilmiştir. The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between time perspectives and decision-making styles of physical education and sports teachers. Relational screening model was used in the research. The universe of the research consists of physical education and sports teachers working in the Western Black Sea provinces. The data of the research were collected using the "Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory", the Melbourne Decision-Making Scale and the "Personal Information Form". Data were analyzed using one-way MANOVA and Pearson correlation analysis. According to the research findings; It has been determined that there is a relationship between teachers' time perspective average scores and their age and their period of service (p<.05). The discrepancy of average scores of future tense sub-dimension by gender, hedonistic now according to marital status, past negative and positive according to place of residence, now hedonistic according to education level, negative past according to the variable of education level served, now fatalistic and hedonistic according to licensed sports status, now hedonistic sub-dimensions according to school type variable has been revealed. It was determined that there was no significant relationship between decision making scores and age and period of service (p>.01). It was determined that the average scores of gender, marital status, education level, level of education served, licensed sports status, and school type did not differ (p>.01). Furthermore, it was revealed that the mean scores of decision-making styles differed significantly according to the variable of place of duty (p<.01). When the analysis results related to the main problem of the research were examined, significant correlations were found between the sub-dimensions of the time perspective inventory past negative, past positive, present fatalistic and future tense and all sub-dimensions of decision making styles. A significant correlation was found between the now hedonistic sub-dimension and careful decision making and panic decision making. In conclusion, statistically significant relationships were found between the time perspectives of physical education and sports teachers and the sub-dimensions of their decision-making styles.
